Cookie Policy
Last Updated: [EFFECTIVE_DATE]
Short version: We use only essential authentication cookies and minimal browser storage. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.
This Cookie Policy explains how RiseNet ("RiseNet") uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies when you visit risenet.io.
3. Browser Local Storage
In addition to cookies, we use browser storage (localStorage) for the following functional purposes:
| Key | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| waitlist_entry | localStorage | Stores your waitlist position and email after joining so you can see your queue number without logging in | Until cleared or you register |
| BetaBanner_dismissed | localStorage | Records that you dismissed the beta notification banner so it is not shown again | Persistent (until localStorage cleared) |
These values are stored locally in your browser and are never transmitted to our servers.
4. Third-Party Cookies
Supabase
Supabase sets the authentication session cookies described in Section 2.1. These are technically first-party (set on the risenet.io domain) but managed by Supabase's infrastructure. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
Google OAuth
If you sign in with Google, Google may set cookies as part of the OAuth flow. These are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We do not control these cookies.
No Other Third-Party Cookies
We do not embed any other third-party scripts, widgets, or tracking technologies that would set cookies or track you across the web.
5. How to Control Cookies
5.1 Browser Settings
You can manage cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Note: Deleting or blocking the strictly necessary Supabase session cookies will prevent you from staying logged in.
5.2 Clearing Local Storage
You can clear localStorage through your browser's developer tools: press F12 → Application tab → Local Storage → risenet.io → Delete.
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. We honor the spirit of DNT: we do not track users across third-party websites. Since we do not use analytics or advertising cookies, enabling DNT in your browser has no material effect on our practices.
7. Changes to This Policy
If our cookie practices change (for example, if we add analytics in the future), we will update this policy, notify registered users, and obtain any required consent before setting new cookies.
