Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from persons under 18. If we learn that a user under 18 has registered, we will terminate that account and delete their data.

RiseNet is designed for professional networking between founders and builders. It is not intended for personal social networking, dating, or entertainment.

You may not create an account if you have been previously banned or suspended from the Service, or if you are prohibited from receiving our services under applicable law.

You must create an account by providing accurate and complete information, including a valid email address. You may register using email and password or via Google OAuth.

After registration, you must complete a profile onboarding process that collects professional information including your name, role, sector, skills, and narrative descriptions of yourself and what you are looking for. This information is necessary for the Service to generate AI-powered matches.

You represent and warrant that all information you provide is accurate, current, complete, and not misleading. Profile fields do not permit contact information such as email addresses, phone numbers, or external URLs.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify us immediately at hi@risenet.io if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not liable for any loss arising from your failure to maintain account security.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that:

• Embedding Generation:Your profile text (name, role, sector, "About" narrative, skills, and "Looking for" narrative) is processed by OpenAI's text-embedding-3-small model to generate numerical vector representations stored in our database.
• Match Reason Generation:When matching is activated, professional profile data from two compatible users is sent to OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini to generate a 2-sentence explanation of compatibility. This explanation is shown on match cards.
• Community Formation: A nightly automated process clusters profiles by similarity. Profile data from clustered users is sent to OpenAI to generate community names and descriptions.
• Match Scoring: A compatibility score (0–1) is computed automatically using cosine similarity between profile embeddings.

• AI-generated match reasons are suggestions only — not professional recommendations or endorsements.
• Match scores do not verify credentials, character, or reliability.
• Community suggestions and matches are probabilistic estimates based on profile text similarity.
• RiseNet does not guarantee the accuracy or quality of AI-generated content.

You have the right to request human review of automated decisions, to object to automated processing, or to opt out of AI matching. Contact us at hi@risenet.io to exercise these rights. See our Privacy Policy for details.

You retain ownership of content you create on the Service, including posts, comments, and messages.

By posting content, you grant RiseNet a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute your content within the Service, to process it with AI systems as described in Section 5, and to use aggregated, de-identified insights to improve the Service. This license terminates when you delete your content.

Your content must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. You represent that you own or have rights to post the content, and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.

RiseNet reserves the right to review, moderate, remove, or edit any content that violates these Terms or applicable law, without notice, at our discretion.

The Service, including its design, code, algorithms, trademarks, and all non-user content, is owned by RiseNet and protected by applicable IP laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any RiseNet intellectual property without prior written consent.

If you submit feedback or suggestions, you grant RiseNet a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use such feedback for any purpose.

You may delete your account at any time via Settings. Deletion is permanent and cascades to all your profile data, posts, comments, connections, messages, and matches.

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, legal requirements, or extended inactivity.

Accounts inactive for more than 30 days may be marked as archived and removed from discovery, while your data is retained. You may reactivate by logging back in.
